Here are some suggestions about how to take care of the tents
after a campout:

1. Set up tent without the rainfly (preferably indoors or on a covered
deck, porch or garage make sure the floor is clean with no motor oil or
grease). Open up all doors and screens in the tent. Hang the rainfly
separately so it dries also.

2. Leave tent and rainfly up overnight so they are COMPLETELY dry before
packing up.

3. When tent is dry, thoroughly sweep out all dirt/pine needles/sand.

4. Inspect tent carefully for small holes or tears in the fabric, or damage
to the tent poles or bag; report any damage to troop Quartermaster.

5. Fold up tent and rainfly, place poles at one end and roll tent up to fit
into the tent bag.
